Besides my condition or symptoms, what are the things that would make me a good fit?
The 3 most important things are that you value your health, that you are committed to growth and that you are coachable.
How do I get an appointment scheduled with Dr. Jay’s team of doctors?
We do not accept everyone as a new client. We only work with cases that we are an expert in and clients that are committed. Call toll-free 844-443-7529 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org to talk with a team member. If your case is accepted the next step is having an initial assessment.
What is involved in the initial assessment?
The doctor blocks 2 hours off for this appointment and prefers to connect via video (ex: Skype video). There will be a questionnaire that you will be asked to fill out that helps to guide the questions and conversation for you and your underlying health conditions. The doctor requests to see any lab work that you have had in the last 12 months, along with anything older than that with significant findings. The cost of this appointment is $597-. This is an information gathering visit (evaluation appointment only), which will help to determine a recommended coaching program length. There are no strings attached to this visit. We want to make sure it is a good fit for both parties. The goal is to leave no stone unturned during this appointment to figure out what the source or sources are of your health issues.
What is the charge per appointment after initial assessment?
We offer virtual coaching programs with our clients which typically range from 6 – 12 months. We do not offer pay-for-appointment visits. We determine the coaching program at the end of the first initial assessment appointment. During this coaching period, we like to have appointments every 30 days to update your protocol. You will also have direct access to your doctor via email and phone. All appointments will be with your doctor. It is important to understand that we cannot do the work for you but are there to support and guide you through the process!
Does insurance cover services provided by Dr. Jay’s team?
What is unique about Dr. Jay’s team of doctors?
We are here to partner with you on this journey. We are not here to take the role of a “dictator” type doctor, but rather be an advocate for you as a part of your health team.
The number one focus is getting YOU well. We are open to anything that is going to help expedite the process.
It is also important to us to help you learn the “why” behind any recommendations and protocols. Behind the scenes, Dr. Jay and his team of doctors are constantly communicating and collaborating on different health topics and client cases. We are constantly learning and staying in touch with the most cutting-edge research.
What types of things are used with your protocols?
Food, nutritional supplements, herbal and energetic formulas, at home procedures and more. Everything that’s natural and non-pharmaceutical based.
What is your philosophy of lab tests?
We believe in the value of lab testing and certainly, find any lab work run in the past helpful to review prior to the initial visit if your case is accepted. While it seems like the majority of functional medicine practitioners are obsessed with running lots of lab tests. We only recommend testing if that test will dictate different treatment protocols. We are very conscious of the energy and finances needed for lab work. Each case is customized and we do not have a “standard” lab panel or laboratory requirements.
What is your philosophy on supplements?
Less is more. One of Dr. Jay Davidson’s pet peeves is when people take too many supplements. For example, they eat supplements instead of food!
